A tweet by SarahStarberry that says "oh god read the vertical axis" on top of a chart measuring AI models' release dates and model numbers rather than any real capabilities

The player and the wol. #ffxiv #esmestory

The player is depicted as a small doughy looking thing standing on top of the wol, Esme's shoulder.

Player: "Esme! Esme look..!"

Player, pointing at several glams: "These outfits are soo cute! We should get one!"

Esme: "No. None of these are even practical. How would I even hold any weapons with the gloves on the last one?"
Player: "..."

The player falls to the ground and begins flopping around like a fish to throw a tantrum.

Alphinaud, shocked: "Esme!? What are you wearing???"

Esme is wearing the full-body reindeer outfit that she had complained about previously. Her gunblade is wrapped around her glove with some sort of rope.

Esme: "Don't ****ing ask. This better be an emergency."

Ku'rae would have a quest line where you run errands around the Temple of the Hand as a sort of training exercise, culminating in you uncovering a secret chamber that's been undisturbed since the age of the Mad King. I think the reward would be a Meditation alternate teleport/emote.

Scruffy @scruffyguy32.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

When I started writing about him last year, I initially planned for Ku'rae to just be another student of the Order of the Fist, and to not take on tribe responsibilities. Now, in canon, he's Grandmaster of his own order of monks, starting a tribe, and an Archon in the field of martial arts.

The Arthur C. Clarke Award @clarkeaward.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Some scams are easier to spot than others. That said, we get these semi-regularly and they are only getting more focused and custom-tailored, so be careful writers! And, no, we didn’t reply, but it was super-tempting.

Text from a scam email message which reads:

Hi Arthur C. Clarke,

I recently came across 2001: A Space Odyssey, the 25th Anniversary Edition, and wanted to reach out.

I’ve been connecting with authors whose books are available to readers but may not be reaching as many new audiences as they could.

I’m curious how has your experience been with book visibility and reaching new readers? And have you considered exploring new ways to promote your book or expand its reach to additional platforms?

I’d genuinely be interested in hearing your thoughts and experience.
