thinking about this again and smiling

“james hennessy: it's sad reading like 14th century Christian theologians who spent an inordinate amount of time writing "OK there are exactly 3,892 demons and these are their names and these are their powers"... man, you would have loved Dragonball Z

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

absolutely no hatred towards teen fantasy but I heard someone once call titles that are like 'a crown of blank and blank' stories as 'A kraft of mac and cheese' and I cannot stop thinking about it

I miss shadow's big, loud purrs. I miss his chatter. I miss his little white paw reaching out to touch me as he fell asleep. I miss how solid and heavy he was laying next to me. I miss feeling happy.

Also seeing the trailer for Chrono Cross (which was essentially just the opening sequence of the game) and waiting YEARS for it to release and saving my money for it - I begged my dad to take me to buy it the day it released.

I only had a Super Nintendo, PS1, Gameboy and Gameboy Advance until I was in high school, and I had a VERY sparse amount of games. I spent hours playing what I had. A very core memory is spending my first communion money on Super Mario RPG.

She is very fun and so far is the only melee character I have managed to play and not completely fail at, Heim is so so awful but still not worth giving up the perma-Teemo ban, Trundle is awful, Garen and Darius are awful... My best game I still ended up being ganked by jng AND mid like PLS

Take a break from being depressed that everything you love is being destroyed by slop for a moment and let me tell you about the beautiful symbiotic relationship between graffiti writers, train yard workers, and model train enthusiasts.

I’m seeing a lot of references to The Nazi Bar. Here are the OG tweets from the dead bird site, with alt-text. Share them with others, teach them to the young & naive, so that they may thrive! It’s Popper’s Paradox in a crustpunk bar…

A famous thread from the dead bird site, by @IAmRageSparkle:

1. I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."

2. And the dude next to me says, "hey i'm not doing anything, i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed

3. Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't see his vest but it was all nazi shit. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them."
And i was like, ohok and he continues.

Continuation of @IAmRageSparkle’s thread

4. "you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it's always a nice, polite one.
And you serve them because you don't want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.

5. And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh shit, this is a Nazi bar now. And it's too late because they're entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

6. And i was like, 'oh damn.' and he said "yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people."
And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven't forgotten that at all.

My SIL is teaching remotely at a school in southern Illinois and I was not ready to learn about the mascot

A mascot painted on the wall of a high school. It says “cornjerkers” and the mascot is an awful ear of corn with brown hair holding a football and kicking, I want to say, a soccer ball.

In case someone might not know: DLSS 5 is technically a genAI filter, which tries to upscale game graphics to look more "real"- turning it into uncanny terrible looking nightmare fuel instead. If you are into that trash then be sure to block me because I will block anyone if I spot that shit.

Dancer is just so pretty to watch??? I hate fighting all of them I couldn't make it past the opening zones in Dark Souls cause the combat feels clunky to me and Bloodborne is so much faster it suits me more (people keep saying I would like Sekiro)
