The BBC gave us good television in 2006. Robin Hood S1, Life on Mars S1 and the Jane Eyre mini-series. I still own and rewatch all of them every so often. Good tv never gets old. #BBC

Today is the 20th Anniversary of Robin Hood on the BBC. I remember being very excited for the show and loving the 1st episode. I miss S1-2 of the show. The less said about the horrible S3, the better. It only had one good scene - the R&M reunion. #RobinHoodBBC #RobinHood

I laughed (because it's true).

Me: Can we have one normal fucking week?
2026: Best I can do is plague.

Hopefully GBBO doesn't do Audience week in future series. I was not a fan. Another week of losing a baker I've grown fond of. #GBBO

A second Brexit referendum is a truly stupid idea. Straight to rejoin. No fucking about. There’s no logical argument, economic or otherwise, for not rejoining. The British electorate has proven that they don’t have a clue and are easily duped by disinformation campaigns and foreign interference.

That is my favourite adaptation of Persuasion. It embodies the novel perfectly. The 1971 mini-series is also very good.

I volunteered for Childline for a decade at uni and I know firsthand a snapshot of how many lives Esther Rantzen changed. Her later years were known for assisted dying but her legacy will be giving vulnerable children someone to listen to and care. www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...

Sadly there was a climate & nature shaped hole at the heart of Burnham’s speech. Nothing on the benefits of nature restoration & same old words on a “pragmatic” approach to N Sea drilling. There’s nothing pragmatic about pouring fuel on a scorching earth - he should rule out Rosebank & Jackdaw now

The only time I thought Marianne & Brandon were satisfying ending was in From Prada to Nada😄 In the novel and all other adaptations, I felt they both settled because they couldn't have who or what they really wanted. Elinor & Edward are the true love story is in Sense and Sensibility.

We went to the cinema to see Sense and Sensibility. I liked the changes in the Elinor & Edward parts, it worked well for them. Overall I enjoyed this new adaptation. Though the tweaks to Marianne's plot still didn't make care about her two romances 🤷‍♀️ #SenseAndSensibility

Can I have some legitimate concerns please? Hello, UK government, I have a legitimate concern that temperatures will rise to a level that destroys many already-struggling nations, leading us in to an era of food scarcity wars. And now we wait for Andy Burnham to act on my legitimate concerns😎
