One of my son's coaches likes to say in situations like that "be sure!" Basically, it's ok to color outside the lines, but know you are doing it and do it with confidence. I liked using that attitude afterwards too, so you get to cheer the good thing and talk about the position too.

Games like this and a couple home openers in MLS ought to be wake up calls for all teams in MLS, USL and NWSL (probably UFL and MLR too) that things are going to get tight in the economy and people will pick and choose. Need a compelling story every week to get people in.

Ok, but this is 2 1/2 windows they've had already. This is MLS, it's possible (outside of Toronto or Chicago) to turn your fortunes around with a couple key signings. Last year Colorado went from last in the West to mid-table, spending parts of the year quite high up. And now they have KdP too.

Yes, I know how sports work in 2025. But even from a business perspective, the number of fans in the seats matters. Two years in a row being at the bottom of the list of returning minutes does not create a high engagement factor, especially if the team doesn't get better soon.

That 'in it's entirety' bit is a problem in a lot of classes. My son also hasn't been required to read the whole constitution. His honors English class skipped whole scenes in Romeo and Juliet, even though it was their major reading assignment, they didn't even have to read the whole play!
