Hadn’t sketched in a little bit and this is what my brain came up with tonight. #sketch #art

Blue pencil sketch of a humanoid character with dragonesque or maybe kaiju features

We also got this cute cat tarot cat toy.

Well, we have reached peak geek household. Yesterday, my husband bought the cats a sword (at the Common Ground Fair).

Sketch night. Nyx, from Astroprisma. This wasn’t what I set put to draw, but I like the way her face came out in this one (even if the rest of the picture refused to cooperate, lol.) #oc #drawing #rpg #astroprisma

I made a short animation of my character Nyx from Astroprisma. I’m happy with it, considering I have zero animation training (and only discovered Procreate has animation helper tools after I was mostly done, lol). #oc #rpg #astroprisma #art

Too tired to write tonight, so I doodled some art from my run of Astroprisma. Art night: boss fight! #oc #sketch #art #characterArt #rpg

Blue pencil and black marker line art of a human (?) man with a metal-banded arm held up defensively in front of his face. One eye shows above it, with an inverted color scheme; the other is covered by hair. Whisps like ghostly hands spread from his arm and behind his back. Dendritic marks spread across his chest and forehead.

Tonight’s sketch is entirely @parasite-z.bsky.social ‘s fault.(Sadly, I do not have the time for prep or time/energy to participate properly in Art Fight this year, but enjoy anyway?)

I went outside for lunch and discovered a baby fawn next to our house!! (Don’t worry, I let them be; I just walked on my normal path when I took the photo). Clearly the deer feel safe around us!

Worked on stressful thing, so of course my answer to calm down is to sketch a character who is *just a little* unhinged. Meet Davos, major antagonist from my #astroprisma run. #oc

Quick doodle this evening. This started out as a sketch of myself and my husband, but then turned into some other couple instead.

blue pencil sketch of a (most likely) man with short hair standing with and putting his hand affectionately on the shoulder of a shorter (most likely) woman with longer hair standing just in front and to the side of him.

We put treats in the eggs and the cats had an Easter Egg hunt this morning. Surprisingly, it was Willow who popped one open first. (They are still working on getting out all the treats).

I did art instead of words. Of course now that I think I could focus, I really need to go to bed.

Accomplishment of the day: we have our spare room set up as an actual guest room now!! (Instead of a bed in my office/study)

I’m not a professional artist; most of my art is character sketches (often from my writing work or RPGs). This one hangs in our living room so I guess it’s a favorite. (This one actually isn’t a story character!)

@taenia.bsky.social @turtlesoup.bsky.social Thinking of you! I was at a sheep farm in Nova Scotia last week and there were baby barn swallows. The little heads kept popping up like a demanding cuckoo clock with little cheeps (kept watching the parents come in to feed them but never got a good pic)

Actually sat down to write early tonight. . .and got distracted by lots of things that weren’t writing. (Guess my brain is tired and needed time off). One thing I did was delete my Spotify account. Before I did, I took a screenshot of the playlist for the structured part of our wedding reception:

Playlist of songs: 1) Final Fantasy main theme (Nobuo Uematsu), 2) Love Like You (End Credits from Stephen Universe), 3) Old Time Rock and Roll (Bob Seger), 4) Fragile (Sting), 5) Running Down a Dream (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), 6) The Star of the County Down (Loreena McKennitt), 7) Kingsword (Heather Dale)
