and you know what that rocket stage delivered? a lunar lander! it worked for two weeks and then shut off. guess what it's up to these days? that's right, still just sitting there on the lunar surface. arguably worse than an impact crater indistinguishable from the several the moon gets daily!

it's not something one could even intentionally do, the stage went through the lagrange points, famously unstable gravitational regimes we cannot predict with great certainty over time and this one was dancing around for over a year uncontrolled. genuinely unknowable this would happen
