One activity I like to do with my students is to have them write a longer piece (1000 words or so) and then cut it to 800 and then again to 500. It's really hard for a lot of them (and me!) but I think they learn brevity and word economy.

A new level of mind-blowing just dropped: css-dos.ahmedamer.co.uk Run MSDOS in the browser, 100% in CSS! There's a bit of compiler magic so it doesn't take 3 months to load, but there's an option to load the raw CSS instead if you want, which does crash the tab 😁

The high school bee club I advise harvested honey today. Let me tell you that teenagers have so many unique and varied interests and sourpuss adults really make things harder for them than necessary. They are some of the coolest people I've ever met. Go work with them and for them if you are able.
