Disappointed that BELOW hasn't got a supernatural/Lovecraftian horror bent even though there's plenty of potential in the premise. It's still a silly fun time. Just...it could have been so much more. There are some lovely sweaters and Canadian Accents and Josh Hartnett is incredibly handsome.

I think what bothers me is that up until the last episode, this show has been quite frank about the brutality. And then suddenly it pulls that last punch rather than letting it land. And I think that might be so there *can* be a continuation rather than a definitive end.

I'm going to have to sit with the ending of the CARRIE tv show for a bit. It isn't what I expected and I'm not sure what to feel about it yet. My immediate reaction is that the last episode really defanged the story. But I'm interested in seeing if this will continue to see where it goes.

INFIRMARY is one of those movies where it doesn't know what it is beyond its concept: a found footage told through security cameras and bodycams of the guards at a condemned hospital. It's got ideas, sure, but doesn't follow through on any of them so I'm left wondering what the hell did I watch.

THE LAST KISS - this is a delightful little slasher! if you're not into horror movies because they're too scary or violent or gory, this is exactly the kind of movie for you. The main hook is that the heroine can see how people die when she kisses them. She has to smooch everyone to stop a massacre!
