Dear sir, The answer in Yesterday's Sunday Times to Brain Teaser 1111 was given as 8486. My answer which I sent to you by postcard was 6212 which I believe also to be correct since 6212 → 6 x 2 = 12 2126 → 2 x 6 = 12 I would be grateful for your confirmation.

Caption Reads "Humpty Dumpty Had A Great Fall"
Four panels show images of a cheerful little eggman going for a walk along a treefilled path as leaves fall from the trees, carving a jack o'lantern, picking apples from a tree, and settled in front of a warm fire reading a book while a cat naps at his feet.

I'm still mad at Disney+ for removing "Doug's 1st Movie" in Europe. From there it was always going to be a steady slide to the bottom. (And yes, I'm a proponent of physical media, but Doug and his movie didn't get much of a life on that either. A taped television broadcast is all the media I have.)

Sep 1985: PCW 8256 ad from Amstrad «More than a wordprocessor, for less than a typewriter.»
This is an advertisement for the Amstrad PCW 8256 personal computer word processor. The PCW 8256 is a complete wordprocessing system and a complete personal computer. It has a high resolution screen, a high speed RAM disc, and an 82 key keyboard.

More than a wordprocessor, for less than a typewriter.

Don't look at the price of the Amstrad PCW 8256 or you won't believe
what is to follow.
Because the PCW 8256 is a complete wordprocessing system and a
complete personal computer at a completely unbelievable price.
It's a powerful wordprocessor.
The PCW 8256 is totally equipped for wordprocessing. It has a high
resolution screen with 90 columns and 32 lines of text. That's 40% more
usable display area than most PC's.
There's a high speed RAM disc that allows you to
store and retrieve information instantaneously, as you're
creating a document. The 82 key keyboard is specifically
designed for wordprocessing. Its special function keys
allow you to refer to "pull down" menus as you work,
so you don't have to memorise complicated codes.
This simply means it's easy to use.
And the PCW 8256 has an integrated printer, with
compatible software that gives you a choice of letter quality
and high speed drafting capabilities. Finally there's an automatic paper load
system, as well as tractor feed for continuous stationery.
All for the price of an electric typewriter.
It's a powerful computer.
The PCW 8256 is more than a wordprocessor. It's also a purpo
built computer with an enormous 256k memory. By employing the CP/M
Plus computer operating system, it can open the door to a choice of ov
eight thousand commercial software packages.
If that's not enough, for the real computer buff, a combination of the
powerful Mallard basic, Dr Logo and GSX Graphics system extensions will
mean you can write your own programs.
So even if you started off just wanting a wordprocessor it won't be long
before you'll be hooked on the compelling possibilities of
micro-computing.
Now you can look at...

An advertisement promoting the large workforce of the Bell Telephone System, emphasizing their local presence and community ties.

Want to Meet a Nice Big Family?

Telephone workers make up a big family - over 575,000 in the Bell System.
They are your friends and neighbors and they aim to be nice people to meet and know and do business with.
You'll find them everywhere. For the Telephone Company is mainly a local business, multiplied by the many localities it serves, and operated by home-town people.
We're proud of our telephone family. You can be too.

What I'm taking from this is that Judge Doom was basically Christopher Walken from The Dead Zone. If rubbing out Marvin Acme meant that Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) didn't happen, then he was only preventing a greater evil and I'm all for cutting him slack.
