“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.” ― Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

We #authors ❤️ #reviews of our books. Whether you write a treatise on how a #book affected you, or just one sentence saying that you enjoyed a book, you can’t go wrong! And for you frugal #readers, leaving a review on #Amazon and #Goodreads is free to do! So help an author feel celebrated today!

A colleague who I haven’t spoken to in 20 years reconnected with me after reading my #occult #addiction novel DIRTY SPIRITS. He tried to leave this #review on Amazon, but for some reason they rejected it. (He has since posted a different review.) Sometimes our work impacts readers more than we know.

Next year, I’ll be more transparent about my marketing expenses & book sales. As an #indieauthor, I incur all production & advertising costs, but I also see a bigger share of revenue. In the new year, I’ll share my tallies for 2024, then dive into areas for improving costs, sales, and visibility.

3 things to know about me: I’m a #DarkFiction author who writes #DarkComedy, #Noir, and #Horror. I love #self-publishing, probably bc I work in marketing and am a control freak. I’m a cinephile who’ll sooner chat about #film rather than #books. Connect with me & let’s frolic on the dark side!
