Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 07/10/2026@guerrieroc.bsky.social It's really good! Thanks for the recommendation. I think I conflated Steve Roach and Steve Reich somehow and didn't know of his existence. 141
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 06/10/2026It's blowing my mind. Raise is getting a 35 year re-issue. MBV seems to be more popular than ever. And there are a ton of new bands. 100
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I just bought this on vinyl at a big sale (my CD's are all gone), and it was almost exactly what I remembered. One great song, some questionable production decisions (it was the 80's) and a generally fun album. 110

Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Toronto Telecommunications Centre is a little quiet considering their team is down a goal with 8 minutes left. 110
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Back to TVA, I just can't watch the Leaf's home broadcast team in these games. 010
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I 100% believe that story. Some of us weren't that strong. 021
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Oh no. I almost failed a course once because of that game. I finished studying one night and played one more turn to chill. Next thing I knew my roommate was asking why I wasn't getting ready for the exam at 8:30 am. 030
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 24/09/2026It couldn't come at a worse time.... Wheat kings is great, but Courage is... well it's just Courage 041
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I know it wasn't "crossover", but Bongo Bong was EVERYWHERE one summer. Pub, bar, roadtrip playlists. 160

Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Toughest one of the tourney? Bjork edges it for the inner weird art kid I still have somewhere. Both great albums. 021

Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 24/08/2026I've always interpreted it that way, with pre-chorus being slightly different as it usually happens more than once 010
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I saw them a few months ago and they were great. The new stuff didn’t grab me that much but still a good show. Super tight band 021
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Hell Yeah. I love that album. My wife to this day will say it’s one of the reasons she dated me. I’m stumping for it the whole way through. 121
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 12/08/2026It hasn't clicked with me yet. I think I need to give it some space for a real listen. Thanks for the reminder. 000
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Oh man, I'm on record talking about Stereolab and how they're one of my all-time favourites, but I think I have to go with Gorillaz here. It's more impactful musically and I think just the better album. 032

Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 30/06/2026It's so great! Have you listened to the followup LAUGHING STOCK? I think it's even better and is one of my favourite of all time 100
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 18/06/2026It's got some good stuff on it but nothing really grabbed me. I gave a few listens when it first came out but haven't put in on on purpose since. 021
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 18/06/2026I'm a little conflicted on this one. On the one hand it's BSS and their lovely ambienty bits. On the other my friend and I learned about half of these songs on acoustic guitar and called ourselves Mark and the Chrissycats. 091
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 14/06/2026When they had the hydration break yesterday in the Australia - Turkey game I was astounded. It was 18 here, and they were inside to boot. Purely advertising grabs. 160
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 13/06/2026🤯 I switched my vote to TOOL after realizing that this wasn't the EITS album I though it was. 011
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Actually that’s downplaying how good Cannibal Ox is. I really liked it 051
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 11/06/2026First listen for both of these for me. Both are really good, but I feel like I know about a million really good garage/soul bands. So the Ox it is. 121
Mark D @sauril.bsky.social · 11/06/2026It does sound like Eye of the Tiger, but it's Edge of Seventeen, by Stevie Nicks. I recognized it instantly, as I had that cassette when I was like 8 or something. youtu.be/UmPgMc3R8zg?...youtu.beStevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen (Official Music Video)YouTube video by Stevie Nicks 191
