Get better data. I got a $20k payout from a class action lawsuit against an employer, and it was 100% absolutely, undeniably life-changing. And I’m speaking as a software engineer, ie relatively overpaid. It meant paying off all my loans and actually transitioning to saving & investing.

Another Universal Horror Nights down. Favorites this year were Ozzy and Killceañera, but they were all really good (except Stranger Things and Hellraiser). Didn’t get a photo but the guy playing Stack in Sinners looked uncannily like Michael B Jordan. And the glowing eyes were rad.

They were the only part that I liked from my mother’s attempt to get the whole family eating more stuff from 1980s health food stores. Carob as a replacement for chocolate, on the other hand, can go fuck itself.

This is an excellent way of summing up the appeal. For a long time I was a little annoyed at the lack of a robust UI library and having to do everything myself. But now I recognize it’s a feature of the SDK, not a bug. IMO it strikes exactly the right balance between high-level and low-level.

The people most vocal about that didn’t change (obviously), it was just easier for them to be in favor of taxes, civic responsibility, and diversity when it was all just hypothetical. They would’ve been hoarding money and protesting equality when they were younger, if they’d only had the option.
