my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

IT ENDS turns its highway-to-nowhere premise into one of the year's best horror films. The horror becomes the realization that adulthood might just be another loop with no exit. Sustained dread, killer sound design, & a tough metaphor for your 20s. My review: themarmaladematinee.com/it-ends-revi...

I started getting followed by some "film festivals" and "writing festivals" and thought "oh, these are cool!" Then I looked a little closer. They're all part of a network that preys on writers, charging us for reviews, and feeding our stuff into slop generators. So I made a list.👋🏻🖕🏻😠

Many stories are described as an odyssey, but there’s only one true odyssey. Nolan once again has created something staggering. With THE ODYSSEY, he reminds us of what we lose without this kind of epic storytelling.

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU feels like one long TV episode, with a little adventure that isn’t a very strong entry in the movie franchise. But it’s hard not to find amusement in it, especially when it gives Grogu some big moments. I love that little green baby & I’d watch him in anything! #FilmSky

Samara Weaving is back playing hide & seek. READY OR NOT 2 trades the mansion for a sprawling estate, adds sibling drama, & somehow gets even bloodier & retains all the humour. It didn’t need to exist but with a game this unhinged, it’s a fun time. My review: nerdspin.com/ready-or-not...
