Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 24/05/2026For the gamers: I played SOUTH OF MIDNIGHT & what a stunning Southern Gothic story. The stop-motion animation style is breathtaking, bringing a world of mythical lore & spooky bayous to life. Fantastic atmosphere & bluesy, soulful soundtrack for a magical, dark coming-of-age adventure. Good stuff. 180
Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 22/05/2026THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU feels like one long TV episode, with a little adventure that isn’t a very strong entry in the movie franchise. But it’s hard not to find amusement in it, especially when it gives Grogu some big moments. I love that little green baby & I’d watch him in anything! #FilmSky 051

Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 20/03/2026PROJECT HAIL MARY balances science with heart in a story that’s profoundly hopeful. Unlikely friendship is the story’s soul: built on trust, humour, and sacrifice. Emotional, visually rich, and a powerful reminder that connection and collaboration can save worlds . #FilmSky 070

Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 27/12/2025There’s a little too much going on in MARTY SUPREME with a rattling cacophony of subplots, yet Safdie finds a ferocious, propulsive energy. Chalamet is a live-wire, dissecting the friction between ego & vulnerability. A poignant look at the cost of dreams & what truly matters. 050
Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 19/12/2025Obsessed with everything Oona Chaplin is doing in AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH. She commands the screen & sets it ablaze with fury. Her Varang moves with a mighty understanding of her power & sexuality & has such a dominating presence. I hope she has a role in the rest of the franchise. #FilmSky 1286
Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 18/12/2025A couple days later & Rose Byrne’s performance in IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU still lingers in my mind. A raw & unflinching turn that captures a mother on the brink with astonishing emotional precision. How it crafts a portal into her psyche using a hole in her ceiling is perfect. 0100
Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 13/12/2025Bi Gan’s RESURRECTION drifts through cinema’s subconscious. From silent film to German expressionism to noir & sci-fi, each era a different dream language. Its imagery suggesting that movies live inside us; a collective dreaming, even as it feels like those dreams are fading. 080

Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 08/12/2025HAMNET turns grief into art, showing how stories help us survive what breaks us, provide a kind of catharsis & communal healing. Jessie Buckley is shattering & sublime, grounding the film’s ache in something raw & human. Heartbreaking, affecting, beautiful. Bravo, Chloé Zhao. 0121

Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 16/11/2025KEEPER is not the best of Osgood Perkins but it’s an unsettling fairytale tucked inside a rustic cabin where romance curdles. Maslany gives a great performance as she questions everything around her. The creature designs are inspired nightmare-fuel. It feels like a dark lullaby. #FilmSky 292
Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 10/11/2025Currently addicted to TALES OF THE SHIRE. I know it got shit reviews but I’m really enjoying wandering around the village, doing missions and other activities like fishing and cooking. Also decorating my hobbit house! It can be repetitive but it’s giving me what I want from a cozy game 040
Sara Clements @saraclements.bsky.social · 08/11/2025I’m enjoying DOWN CEMETERY ROAD with Ruth Wilson whose character gets caught up in a government conspiracy & drags Emma Thompson’s punk private detective down with her. Both are great but I love Thompson’s tough as nails character who slowly begins to show cracks of vulnerability. 190
