If you’re in the streets tonight remember to memorize or have a written phone number for someone NOT at the protest in case of arrest. NLG NYC is also a place to check in if arrested or if witnessing arrests (try and get name of person being arrested): 212-679-6018

Seriously, please don't be too shy or polite to ask for ICE whistles if you need them, especially in SoCal. A bunch of us have stockpiles all ready to go in case of surges, if you have the ability to pass them out, we have the whistles!

The post-war "peace dividend" owed its existence to three factors: industrial capacity, political freedom and pent-up demand.

Here's a funny thing about the right to vote: it wasn't won by voting.
Two suffragists in period dress, ceremonially putting ballots into a ballot box. The background has been replaced with an elaborate collage of 19th C printing-press parts. The ballots are glowing with radiant spikes. The face of the ballot box has been replaced with an Nvidia Vera Lynn GPU.

Hey, so based on what other people have said, and what I have now myself experienced, it appears to me that publishers are, um, how do I say this... Not doing a good job (or possibly any job) of checking to see if rights have reverted on a work before claiming them in the settlement.

Arkansas Dems have the entire board stacked against them yet they're leading in the Senate race and a key House race. It's one poll and it's a long time to November but the work they're doing is moving the needle. Now imagine what they could do if they had just a little visible national support? 7/7

Make them choose between spending to save Cotton and spending to save French Hill in AR District 2! (this same poll shows Chris Jones up by 4 points over French Hill - also big news!) For crying out loud, MAKE THEM WORK FOR IT! 6/

Also, if the result of this poll is that the GOP gets scared and dumps in money to save Cotton's seat? GOOD! MAKE THEM SPEND THE MONEY! Maybe Schoffner doesn't win, but maybe the money they have to use to save Cotton means Dems win a race somewhere else. 5/

Yes, Arkansas is a red state. But it is also a suppressed state! The system works against anyone who tries to make a difference (see the Ark Supreme Court ruling yesterday), but y'all -- there are people out there working their hearts out to do the damn thing anyway. 4/

3) Does it mean Arkansas is really in play? Maybe, maybe not. But if we shrug and say it's just a poll and the numbers won't be there in Nov, and it's Arkansas so there's no way... If you give up before the fight's done, you definitely lose. And I know the Arkansans fighting haven't given up yet. 3/

2) Am I going to shout about this poll? You bet. I will take *any* chance to beat Tom Cotton & for Arkansans to have a senator that actually works for them. I cheer for the Arkansas Razorbacks, I know about rooting for the undervalued long-shot and I will celebrate every damn bit of good news. 2/

As noted in the thread, the real issue isn't that polls are wrong, it's that there is a possibility they might lose and the GOP dumps in whatever money necessary to save the seat. My thoughts: 1) I don't remember the last time a Dem polled ahead of the GOP in an AR senate race. This is a big deal 1/
