Everyone remembers the nice pond stuff about Thoreau's WALDEN but they forget about his extremely opinionated rants on clothes, aggressively promoting nudism, and his wishes we all still slept in leather sacks in the snow. I love all this by the way. He was a thoughtful but hilarious dude.

Every day in October my kids get to pick from the treat bag of various tricks and treats, and pull the day's joke or riddle from the light up Halloween Advent calendar. Day 1: What is a witches' favorite drink? Mugwort.

Whenever I roll my eyes at others watching Hallmark channel movies, I scold myself and remember that one of my favorite movies is a puppet monster in a basket that has a meltdown and throws a TV. Which is also dumb. So let people like what they like. What matters more is that they aren't assholes.

While I detest smoking in every way, & it would kill me, a part of me wishes I did smoke cigarettes. Bc standing outside in the dark, silently taking drags just trying to survive life speaks a deep feeling of exhaustion & sadness you can't properly describe otherwise. Anyway, picture me smoking.

PSA for the old folks like me, your skin changes its needs throughout your life. I recently did a skin reset and found that I need something gentler since I grew out of acne. Take time to reconsider what products you really need in your hygiene, bc the internet will have you believe it's everything.
