Did y'all know that a thing called COVID bladder exists? ... me neither. It feels like a UTI. And so, I'm still awake at 3:00 because I'm going to the toilet every 5 minutes. I'm getting better in all other areas, 12 days from first symptoms (of this round of the illness).

Headed back into the hospital for 12-14 days on Friday to get a leak fixed, so I can be peeing only out of one hole. Definitely looking forward to that, definitely not looking forward to another 2 weeks of having a catheter in.

And this is now being used to stir up anti-Muslim and anti-Immigrant (even though not applicable here) sentiments, ahead of a really important election. So I'm mourning in a lot of ways. It's so normal for western society to demonize Islam, I see anti-Muslim stickers U-Bahn stations in Berlin.

On top of that, the attacker was an Islamist extremist - radicalized from around 12 years old, fresh out of the juvenile detention center. He was only 21, and he was a German citizen, born in Berlin.

Hi, y'all. Me and mine are all uninjured from the attack at the big Berlin CSD event at Tiergarten. We weren't there. We are torn up emotionally, about it for a lot of reasons. A woman lost her life, many other attendees were left seriously injured. This is a fucking awful thing.

Thank you 💙 I'm not, but the steps I've taken so far are adopting Tuta for email and calendar - it's not as pretty as Google, but it gets the job done - I'm retiring my Pixel phone for a Mudita Kompakt, and replacing Photos and Drive with Proton Drive. It costs money, but it's worth it, to me.

Going through and cleaning up photos to prepare to remove my data from Google's servers has me feeling all kinds of feels. Last photo of my guy, Rio, was in September of last year. He died in October. I think I'll miss him forever.

A bicolour (black and white), tuxedo cat is curled up into a ball. His ear on the underside is folded a bit, and he's relaxed to a point that you can determine he's probably sleeping. He's lying on a pink duvet.

If you're a Trans person who changed careers to care for other Trans people, what made you do it? When we moved to Berlin, my wife struggled to find a provider for needle epilation that looked welcoming for Trans folks. I thought "I could probably do that".
