Come the Apocalypse. One of the big bads of X-Men: The Animated Series was none other than Apocalypse. He appeared in the opening clash to start almost every episode and when the show was looking to end on a high note it selected Apocalypse as the villain to center that story on. When X-Men '97 arrived in 2024, Apocalypse was conspicuously absent apart from a throw-away line by Wolverine in the show's second episode.
