Tales from the Cryptkeeper trade ad (1994). They included “Live from the Crypt” here to push the franchise as a kid-friendly brand. Pretty forgotten today, but Live from the Crypt was an educational book series where the Cryptkeeper interviewed historical figures.

Kinda shocked to see so much Moomintroll stuff. He has like no presence in the US so if you never heard of him, that’s understandable. He’s a storybook character from Finland and is pretty popular in Japan. I remember seeing him on TV when visiting family in Italy as a kid.

Here’s high-res scans of DragonBall Z: Arrival VHS trade and retail ads. Released in August of 1997, Arrival was the first DBZ VHS released in the US. It combined the first 4 episodes into one movie-like feature. DBZ episodes and movies would go on to sell millions of units.
