Imps! My new novel is coming 2/23/2027. Imps! brings a tale of twins and trickery, broken bones, monsters, and, of course, mischief. Thrilled to see the cover reveal in People! Find out more about Imps! and pre-order at the link in bio.
Cover of the Imps! by Gerardo Sámano Córdova. It’s a black background with white letters and two red impish heads with horns and mischievous smiles."No one captures the intricacies of the human mind and all of its gorgeous pathologies like Gerardo Sámano Córdova…A pot boiling exploration at the nexus of wickedly perverse and tenderly discomfiting. Imps! is a full-blown original, just like its writer.” —Alejandro Varela, author of The Town of Babylon and Middle SpoonImage of the article in People magazine. Shows Gerardo Sámano Córdova’s author photo (with a mustache against a leafy backdrop), it also shows the cover of Imps!. The title of the article is: Monstrilio Author Gerardo Sámano Córdova to Publish Sophomore Novel Imps! — See the Cover! (Exclusive)

I absolutely loved this book. Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova. Tender, ferocious, sad, the terrible and beautiful logic of what is more usually stays hidden. @deadinkbooks.bsky.social @samanito.bsky.social

SF/F friends: as we turn to that joyful but stressful time (nominating season), I'd be grateful if you considered my work published this year, especially my swing-for-the-fences queer spaceship novella "Uranians."
Eligibility post for SF/F awards listing the novella "Uranians" and the short stories "Toward a Theory of Alternative Lifestyles" and "Alien vs. Bachelorette" by Theodore McCombs, on a background of the author in his Urania drag look.

October reading so far setting a really high bar, ❤️ them all: Homesick: Stories by @ninocipri.bsky.social What Moves the Dead by @tkingfisher.bsky.social Monstrilio by @samanito.bsky.social Not pictured because e-book, Siren Queen by @nghivo.bsky.social Next, Evil Flowers by Gunnhild Øyehaug
Four books are lined up on folded over quilts in shades of blue, with small pops of neon yellow.

Homesick: Stories has a cover with olive green 2D houses floating on blue waves that variate from light teal to blue-black. The title is in light teal block letters.

What Moves the Dead has a block letter titled laid over a brown, sketched hair that is morphing with pink and red fungus, with a black background. The image is unsettling.

Monstrilio is written in white cursive on a grey back ground that has various rhomboid and triangular shapes in bright red, green, periwinkle, and yellow. There is a vintage style illustration of a bat like monster with red eyes layered wit the shapes.

Evil Flowers is written upside down in white sans serif capital letters, while the authors name is written right side up in the same font, across a psychedelic green, blue, purple, yellow, and neon pink cover.

Today on #ChannelOpenPod, @samanito.bsky.social and I discuss his debut novel, Monstrilio. We talked about maligned genres, reader expectations, self-acceptance, and what it means to be monstrous: www.keepthechannelopen.com/episodes/202...
