U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito leaned on an erroneous claim that Black voter turnout now tops white voter turnout, in his Callais v. Louisiana ruling that gutted the Voting Rights Act, reports The Guardian. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

SCOTUS used faulty racial voter turnout data to shred Voting Rights Act in recent ruling

The ruling that upended the Voting Rights Act was based in part on a false data analysis about Black and white voter turnout.

From the Staff of the Basilica: So we are likely going to be here for a bit. The Basilica account is throttled to hell and barely reaches the 1.46K followers we have; so its need cooling off. We have some new news though for those not on threads! The new Basilica Logo and our temp HCCoG logo!

Haven't been keeping up on Bluesky for a while but thats going to be changing because of the Zuckerwäffen Meta policies. Old habits are hard to kick but when it comes to personal data it needs to be addressed.

The Legate's Mom ended up taking a fall, and receiving stitches a couple days ago. Thus, he has not been active here. He has taken an LOA from his normal 9-5 to take care of her. We continue to ask for prayers. We cannot wait until he is back to normal engagement -The Staff of the Basilica

We call the sinner to repentance, and to give way to Christ in Whom he has found none of his works. Who he blasphemes by thought, word, and deed. The Church Can’t be silent, and I refuse to be silent. What I have written, I have written

From the Office of His Holiness, The Legate I issue this address to condemn Donald J. Trump for his remarks against Pope Leo XIV, his actions against the Church, His witness contrary to Christ, and his attempts to vex the work of the Holy Spirit.

This post got us some flak on threads, sharing here. NOTE: I am an independent Catholic Denominational Leader. I am not the Pope. This address got me mixed up with that. Donald J. Trump is a Godless man. :

We are starting a new series at the Basilica to get people engaged! While bylaws put people to sleep, or people suddenly remember that they left the oven on, there is a Q & A at the end with the Legate...so...maybe that will be worth it for you? basilicaofsaintlonginus.substack.com/p/learning-t...

It was hard to write, as I have family who were military; most of them have entered the Father’s Kingdom. However, the Church has appealed to Christ or God to bless wars, and to bring us victory. They don’t see that they are asking the almighty to bless the slaughter of his own children…

I still cannot believe that the administration threatened The Pope, and with Avignon to boot. I want to see Vance explain that to St. Peter at the gates... "...You did WHAT to my successor?"

such a direct challenge to the Chair of Peter, and the Papal State. I abhor this beyond what words can convey. To my fellow religious leaders, I implore you all to speak out against the threats. May God help us all! +Brandon

I receive the threats against the Holy Father with outrage. The administration just keeps racking up reasons as to why I excommunicated them from HCCoG. I am morally outraged, saddened, and grieved that a political faction would issue

Today is Holy Saturday. We remember that nearly 2,000 years ago, the disciples were broken over the death of their Rabbi; the light of the world. After the death of Jesus, the disciples scattered, fearing they were next.
