god bless fan fiction. So many young adults who think they aren't readers because they're not picking up novels are reading 200k word fan fiction stories. It's glorious. Lovely are the people who create it for the pure joy of writing stories about their fav characters. Lovely are the readers.

I should've expected that I'd lose motivation to write the sequels to take a chance on me 😞

My second fic for the wangxian gotcha! This was for @ohmystars19.bsky.social’s prompt, tysm!! 🌌 domestic fluff and humor 🌌 post-canon, married wangxian 🌌 3k, Rated E archiveofourown.org/works/81358741

To love you every night by dragontrappedinhumanskin

Summary:

Wei Ying is too wired to go to bed, luckily his husband is happy to humor him, even if he might fall asleep doing so.

—
Wei Ying turned, stripping off his robes, as Lan Zhan continued his meticulously folding of his own layers until he was down to his last. "I was thinking," Wei Ying continued. "Should we get chickens?"

The sound of a pause in clothes rustling made Wei Ying look over his shoulder to see Lan Zhan slow-blink at him. "I mean, don't you like eggs, Lan Zhan?"

"I have nothing against eggs." Lan
Zhan confirmed.

a digital illustration of two gauntlets/hands, a dark one with golden details and white/lighter one, both inspired by renaissance 15th/16th century armor. their fingers are slightly reaching out for each other. both hands are wrapped in a red ribbon that says 'No Love, however brief, is wasted.' In between there are white periwinkles as a symbol for fond memories

Repeat after me: the more you feel the need for media to explicitly tell you who's good and who's the villain, how to behave and how to love, the more you expect it to give you answers instead of making you think and ask questions, the more vulnerable you are to all kinds of propaganda.
