Círdan’s story has always been a favourite part of Tolkien lore for me and Ben Daniels’ performance and dialogue has been absolutely perfect for me so far on #ringsofpower season 2. Looking forward to the rest of the season. Sketch in #procreate from ref

… I know everyone already painted this, but I did too (right after it aired). So here he is. Again. 😗 #Elrond #TheRingsOfPower #TROP #fanart #art #digitalart

Digital painting of Elrond (Robert Aramayo) from The Rings of Power TV show, in a circle.
Dark warm brown tones overall.
He was hiding in Círdans workshop after jumping down a waterfall to escape with the rings from Gil-Galad and Galadriel. So he looks a bit disheveled, showing a lot of.. neck. Uhm…

#TheRingsOfPower #Adar Today I started on the cuirass, using a wood-burning pen and this heat-sensitive material called Worbla. It works great for carving the pattern so far. If all goes well, this might become an Adar cosplay eventually Thanks @niku30.bsky.social, your template was very helpful 🖤

Collage of six pictures, showing my process of making Adar‘s cuirass so far.

There‘s one picture showing the result as of today: The black top layer of the front side of the cuirass with the distinctive river pattern carved into it.
Another picture shows Adar wearing his armor. This is the picture I used as a template. The others are of me carving with the wood-burning pen and details of the pattern.

Digital charcoal portrait of Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor. Head and shoulders only. He is wearing a deep green robe with leaf details around the neck. His expression is troubled.

One thing I've been thinking about for the past few weeks is how best to talk about Númenor going forward. As S3 and S4 of The Rings of Power should cover the downfall of Númenor, it's going be important to talk about all the themes Tolkien presented in the story. No doubt there's been scholarly /1

Digital painting of Círdan (Ben Daniels) from The Rings of Power TV show.
Just a friendly, smiling face, crowned by long wavy grey-ish hair. He’s got the beard. And sparkling eyes ✨
Warm colors, many brown tones, no blending of brushstrokes.

How fortunate we are to have gotten Ismael Cruz Córdova, born and raised in Puerto Rico, to play Arondir of The Greenwood. Even with a smaller role in season 2, he manages to showcase so much warmth, strength and depth. No wonder he became and continues to be a fan favourite.
