Getting a bit sick of the narrative that Chelsea FC received a lenient punishment because they self-reported. Many of the offshore payments exposed by the Guardian and media partners were not self-reported (possibly because the new owners didn't know, although we can't be sure of that).

How bad are the Spurs so this season? 20th in the table is, understatement, not great. But, are they relegation candidates? Probably not. For xG/xGA/xPTS, rank is ~15th. If Brentford game was an outlier (I think/hope it was), then considerably better for xGA (5th best) and xPTS (12th). xG ~16th

I miss Palhinha. Everyone seemed to want him gone, but his attitude was second to none, he gave us a big physical presence that we now lack - especially from set pieces - and was good in both boxes. We'd be better if we'd spent £15m on him and £80m on a striker, instead of signing Tonali IMO. #COYS

Brighton are so fun to watch. They're losing here thanks to two quick-fire goals, but it's not really deserved. They play the ball so quickly and it's progressive passes not sideways and backwards nonsense. Shame the final ball is all a bit Spurs tonight for them. #MUNBHA

More train fun this morning on Merseyrail. The train cameras aren't working apparently, so the driver is 'turning the train off and on again' to try and fix it. Nice to know that trains apparently work the same as household electrical items.
