There's a house in my neighborhood with a small cubbyhole window facing the sidewalk. The residents decorate the space as a tiny living room, including holiday accoutrements. And a small cat-sized couch.

My dad lives out near Brandywine, so I got him a book about the battle. Very detailed. The author has a few othes covering Germantown, the Philadelphia Campaign and the Battle of Whitemarsh.

World Cup. It was crazy busy this afternoon in our neighborhood miles away. Well before the local match, but USMNT played earlier. Streets closed for block parties, restaurants and bars already busy, etc. We jumped ship went down the shore. Also, dog sitting this guy. (And Amy's fancy toes!)

Someone claiming they were 'from the city' just showed up at 05-17/32 (co-located) saying they wanted to check the machines. They declined to show ID or anything else. Left in a bit of a huff. Got picked up by this municipal pickup truck. Amy is on the phone with someone at commissioners now.

Haha, so last spring one of the boys and I took Amy to a stroll the bases game but didn't explain the reason. (She qualified since '24; I now do as well.) She wasn't thrilled with me, but we did the stroll and had a good time at the game as well.
