@kermodeandmayo.bsky.social any reason why the pod isn’t showing up on the fruit based podcast app this afternoon? It’s on Patreon but I subscribe via the podcast app so can’t access it.

@kermodeandmayo.bsky.social Went to see If I Had Legs I'd Kick You. Thought it was a fantastic (though stressful) film. A woman two seats down had a small emotional support dog with her. It abided by the code and was very quiet. I wish I could have had one during the film's more stressful moments!

The line “vote for us or you’ll get the far right” doesn’t really work when the policies you’re enacting are barely distinguishable from what the far right propose.

@jeffsmithmp.bsky.social regarding the new asylum plans, all I have to say is REALLY? Where is the compassion? Keir Starmer’s Labour Party is worse than the Tories. At least they didn’t pretend to be anything other than Tories.

Some of my favourite meditation practices are those that take me outside. Today I did some mindful walking in the sunshine in the park, and a seated practice on a bench, taking in the sun on my skin, the cool breeze on my arms, and the tweeting of the birds. Being present brought me so much joy.

Also doing my civic duty by objecting to the new plans for Chorlton Precinct - shortly going to the planning committee. These are RADICALLY different to the plans that local communities were asked to comment on. Very sneaky.

Oh no, someone's made some stickers to stick on controlled pedestrian crossing points in an attempt to encourage the council to change the timings.
Been waiting long? That's because the council thinks someone in a car a quarter of a mile away is more important than you. They could make the lights change as soon as you press the button, but they don't. Complain to them.
