Been playing #Cyberpunk2077 again. I don’t know if @cdprojektred.com or Pondsmith have ever expressed an opinion but it really feels like female V, corpo, netrunner should be the “canonical” protagonist

Hit the level cap in @worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com and I’m only about half-way done with the Midnight storyline quest, I think. Been knocking out all the side quests as I go. Horribly addictive, really enjoying this one a lot.

My sponsor wasn’t around so I ended up resubscribed to @worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com. Bought Midnight and ran through all of TWW using the new Recap quest line, which worked really well and was a great evening, actually.

sometimes I just fancy playing a little game on my phone on the sofa but mobile games are all such unrelenting shit. Might have to just install a GBA / NDS / PS1 emulator that can handle save states and play a real game.

Played some more of @shawntomkin.bsky.social’s #Ironsworn Legacies alpha test last night. Realised I can spend a misfortune to introduce combat with mook (“Create a Setback”) and resolve it in a single Take Action → Overcome a Setback roll, very much like the old “Battle” move. 1/?

my PC had a rattling noise, so I took it apart and cleaned it, and now it's great again. Made me think; men, often we ignore warning signs from our bodies until too late. If you're worried about something, don't wait: remove your internal organs and blast them with compressed air

okay #ttrpg players and #grogsquad folks, I need a recommendation of a Viking or dark ages England themed campaign setting, any system, I’m mining for ideas. Was looking at Cthulhu Dark Ages, perhaps. Bonus points if it’s in physical print and/or on Shop On The Borderlands.

Two #TTRPG ideas I think would be worth a punt: - X-COM inspired; players have an operative character and a science/engineering/politics character, play ops/base alternate sessions. Maybe Traveller. - Windscale disaster, Britain 1957, burns open a portal to the mythic underworld. Soldiers vs. OSR.

Really invested in the Ironsworn: Legacies playtest and the Discord feedback can be so frustrating. Many variations on “when I pick these mechanical outcomes it doesn’t match the fiction in my head”. You’re in charge of both, change them! @shawntomkin.bsky.social has created a very elegant system!
