The family of a pregnant woman who died sued Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and others on Tuesday, claiming she was denied an abortion that could have saved her life.

The case, filed Tuesday, argues that Texas’ near-total abortion ban violates the state and U.S. Constitutions, which “prohibit state actors from killing their citizens.”
