I am opposing Section 219, which would integrate our military with Israel’s. The United States does not have this arrangement with any other country in the world. We need to stand up for American sovereignty and strip this provision from the final NDAA.

Trump officially rolled back fuel efficiency standards today. The new target for 2031 is about 34.5 miles per gallon, down from 50.4. That means more gas burned, more pollution, and more money out of drivers’ pockets. So much for making things affordable.

Nearly $0.20 of every dollar collected in federal revenue goes toward paying interest on sovereign debt. If long-term Treasury yields sustain a 6% to 7% blended rate, annual debt servicing would surge between $2.4 trillion and $2.8 trillion, consuming over 50% of all federal tax revenues. #September

The real 10-year US Treasury yield has risen by 53bps over the past month, crossing the two-standard-deviation speed limit historically tied to negative equity returns. ⚠️ To squeeze out a high return without taking on risky debt, a high bond yield increases borrowing costs, slowing the economy. 🗜️

Rich evil Republicans want the systematic destruction of accountability. When leaders spend decades destroying the mechanisms that could hold them responsible, their #evil isn't tempered by competence; it is warped by the realization that their actions no longer have consequences. They get it done.
