The rule we were told is seizures < 5 minutes do not require ER care UNLESS there are multiple seizures in a row or you strike something sharp. My dad died post-seizure when I was 3yo; he fell off the toilet and split his head open on a plaster bathroom wall. At 16yo I fell into drywall and lived.

Also the hospital is just going to note you have a chronic condition, there is nothing they can do for you, and you should follow up with t h your primary care doc for the condition. They only want to treat emergency and new conditions. They are not equipped to treat pain from chronic conditions.
