Then there’s the grown up, sadly departed. A person with this much emotional intelligence is perfect to lead people, just for the reasons he mentions.

Do you have a source for that ? Spain, Belgium and France has publicly announced they’d have us back, though in a way I get the cherry picking thing. Being in the SM must be the bulk of the membership cost so it doesn’t really stack up.

Good idea, but extremely vague and difficult to apply. The question now is: will EU political leaders’ communication teams, many of which clearly use AI to produce social media content, label those posts as AI-generated? www.lemonde.fr/en/internati...

Definitely not convinced by Burnham yet. Nothing on Europe, but more talk about reducing benefits. I wouldn’t mind, but there aren’t any suitable jobs for people with loans. This is another example of total detachment from the reality of the country and how people are living.

This is rather defeatist as I find the story on other people and whereas I would typically get the information from People Management and relay it to others from there, I now can’t do that, thus reducing the People Management’s magazine expose. Very peculiar marketing strategy. @fbpech.bsky.social

I think it is largely ignored by the CIPD that members (and membership fees) generated some 25 years ago paved the way for the CIPD to grow and its success today. I’ve read one article online from People Management this week, and now it says I need a paid subscription to read more.

Kwasi Kwarteng's crypto company? When I was investigating Reform's financial ties a few months ago, drawing up a map of who was connected to whom, this was the biggest mystery. Nine years ago, aged 53, he declared himself "skint" because "there's no money in politics".
Only two years ago he was telling friends that he could not afford to run in the coming election. Then suddenly, his fortunes seemed to
and change utterly. How?
The likely explanation emerged this week: he was given E5 million by Christopher Harborne, a Thailand-based crypto billionaire and Reform UK donor. The money, Farage says, was a personal gift
disclosable. It was to pay for bodyguards, he said, making him "safe and secure for the rest of my life". But such protection costs are, at most, £300,000 a year. Farage was given a lifetime of financial security, clearing the way for his return to the political arena. Albeit with a lifelong feeling of debt to Harborne, who sits in a web of interlocking global financial interests.
The world of donors is one of sharks and angels. Many donors want to support causes (or people) they believe in, with no ulterior motive. But then there are the

No. I’m just not going to be lectured by someone who clearly doesn’t ‘know’ the limitations of the Labour Party. I support mental health provisions, of course, but universities are churning out students every year saddled with debt and no jobs to go too. I’m telling you my experience.

@fbpech.bsky.social it’s not the case. Sorry. I’ve degree and a masters. I’m studying another degree to broaden my horizons. I’ve been working 3 jobs. Full time jobs I’m qualified and experienced in are attracting 200+ applicants. Apprenticeships are not the answer for a student with debt.

Ok I’m wrong and you are right. I like debate……….France? Where there average working week is 35 hours? Where it’s illegal to contact staff on their day off? Their whole philosophy of work is different. It’s not a great comparator. You’ve still got staff without a proper redress system.

I don’t agree. High employment and it’s getting worse, particularly for 18-24 and over 50’s. Do you use LinkedIn? There are hundreds and hundreds of message to do with people losing jobs and losing houses. I think Labour can do much better that it is doing, I’m not convinced Starmer can achieve it

Still amounts to the same vulnerability as zero hour. Absolutely no different. In fact id imagine all jobs will have a 6 month probationary period. Though any legitimate business would hire if they needed to hire.

Actually my view was to do with Starmer and Mandelson and the entitlement of thinking the British public support him. I don’t recall mentioning a policy.
