It shouldn’t be ignored that Kash Patel chose to plead the Fifth in response to a grand jury subpoena over the Mar-a-Lago classified documents. He only testified, involuntarily, after being granted immunity. Think about that. Trump’s FBI nominee pled the Fifth in response to a DOJ subpoena.

Merrick Garland letting Trump off the hook while we were told he was "dotting his i's and crossing his t's" led to the moment when Trump could announce his candidacy.
