There were only a few busses home from school every day, and a friend of mine and I were bored killing time waiting for it. I suggested we go to a place some distance away. He thought that it's too far away and we would likely miss the bus. I suggested we'd aim for the next one instead.

Not that closely related, but not having used cash at all for several years, I've started using it more recently, for two reasons. 1. It's nobody's business what I buy, *especially* because it's not shady. 2. Darker - I want payment systems to work even when US payment companies aren't.

Hop cones out to dry. Left: "klev". My first harvest from this plant. Very mild aroma. Not enough for a brew. Not sure what to do with it. Right: "hulla norrgård". Surprisingly citric aroma (a characteristic otherwise mostly found in American hops) and decent bitterness. I will brew with this one

I don't know when I last bought balsa sheets from a hobby shop, it must've been in the 80s. But now I did and made this completely improvised airplane build. Quite OK, I think. It flies reasonably well.

Cut sheets of balsa on a table. You can see the rough shape of the fuselage and also the wings. There's a tube of glue and unused pieces of balsa.

Plus, the shingles vaccine gives good protection against, well, shingles. According to a few I know who have experienced it, you *really* don't want shingles. It can be extremely painful. I got my dose at the end of last year.

We make equipment, hardware. I, a software guy, was called to a meeting where we discussed cooling airflow impedance matching with plug in boards vs with blind panels. I don't think I've ever felt so unable to contribute anything of value. Basic school physics only gets you so far.
