Doesn't it depend on whether we are measuring the decrease by the number of peas or by the tonnage In which case 'less pease' might serve better? Either way I blame the rise of petit pois for the decrease.

I'm further down the valley again, in Abercynon, for the simple reason that when it comes to choosing where to live in the valley I chose the one place on two train lines! As a life-long non-driver it suits me well.

Mine did a more circuitous route via Swansea, but still ended up in Aberaman where they met up with the Radnorshire crew who also moved to work at the collieries. Must have been a shock for the latter group after living in such a remote village, even by Radnorshire standards.

UK Chancellor can easily increase income tax personal allowance by £3,000 a year. It will boost basic rate taxpayers by £600 a year. Millions will be helped. Benefit to higher rate taxpayers can be clawed back. The cost of £30bn can be met by ending bank subsidies, £100bn over the last 3 years.

GB News, the propaganda arm of Reform UK, wants to make it illegal for the UK to rejoin the the EU. How does that work? Parliament to pass a law so that it can't pass another law, or hold a referendum? Bizarre. Maybe they are counting on a Farage dictatorship? 👇👇👇👇👇

Instagram account 'physicsuncovered' - who published this photo - helpfully added: "This image is a modern digital composite, not a historical photograph." 😁😁😁
This is a rare photo of Donald Trump from 1934, helping Albert Einstein finish the theory of relativity. According to Trump, Einstein had been stuck for weeks.

"Very smart guy. Terrible with numbers. I looked at the board and said, Albert, put a little 2 up there. He loved it."

It shows a photoshopped image of Einstein with Trump in front of a blackboard filled with mathematical calculations.

Companies pay employer national insurance (ENI) on director pay. Partners in limited liability partnerships (LLPs) share profit, instead of salary. LLPs don't pay ENI on that. £150k ENI for every £1m of profit shared is avoided. Big four law firms alone avoided paying £4bn. Must end this perk.
