There's no evidence that we can neutralize MAHA with a better health care system. Western Europe has universal access and lower costs — and still has huge anti-vaxx and “medical freedom” movements. MAHA is driven by right-wing misinformation, not legitimate grievances with US healthcare.

That there are rarely consequences for law enforcement shooting someone means that an officer pointing a gun at someone for no justifiable reason is largely a non-event under our law. Yet, it's absolutely terrifying, traumatizing, and shouldn't happen in a free society.
