Sometimes there's just a disconnect between a puzzle and how your brain is processing it, and that has little to do with intelligence. For me being honest and vocalizing when I'm having trouble figuring out what the game wants can be helpful? Insisting on taking my time can help too.

I feel this way a lot. IRL I'm pretty quiet and think before I speak. Streaming kinda forces me to think out loud, plus I have the distractions of keeping up with chat (which can jump between topics a lot!) and technical concerns. It's a lot to manage, but I think most people get that?

Only a couple days left to apply, but this seems like a really nice grant program for people from underrepresented groups making puzzly games. (They have a broad definition that includes Myst and Obra Dinn as examples. The eligible groups are extensive too.) Recipients get both money and mentorship.
