A lovely morning visiting to Whorlton, County Durham, to see and walk on the recently well restored Whorlton suspension bridge (opened last week after 7 years closure). Took the opportunity to visit the grave, in the churchyard, of Bishop A C Headlam (1862-1947) former Bishop of Gloucester,.

A city in France planted wild strawberries around urban trees so anyone can harvest them for free. The initiative makes better use of public spaces, encourages community participation, and provides fresh food for local residents.

A delight to offer Mass #DurhamCathedral today commemorating the saintly John Keble. I hope and pray his gentle, pastoral example may be an inspiration to parish priests today, and his verse continue to enrich the church. (He also had a sense of fun and was a keen gardener.. )

57 incarcerated people graduated from high school at Rikers Island today. Mayor Mamdani didn't just post about it, he showed up and spoke at their graduation. Because real leadership isn't only about punishment. It's about believing people can change.

looking over a lake, it’s cold and foggy, the sky is featureless grey, the lake is still and grey, a small island with trees is visible, a distant shoreline vague in the fog
