The $10,000 pool will be used to pay these wrap around care fees and be used only for this population. We do currently have a similar pool for maternal health wrap around care but unsurprisingly that bucket is mostly empty, too. This patient pool deserves their own dedicated funds.

For clarity, we have a mental health provider we work with who is able to do one appointment screens when appropriate. We also pay for those who need more appointments or ongoing therapy because being trans itself is a trauma in this country.

Thanks to covid isolation then a move down here to an underperforming school, my 9th grader literally cannot write essays or even long paragraphs. Complex writing skills never happened. I can only imagine the results of AI only - remote learning and now chromebook classroom has been bad enough.

Yeah, I can’t help but feel like parents were understandably pushed into teaching assistant jobs during COVID and that somehow became an expectation that never left.

Like for real, what changed in the last generational shift that broke this so badly? My mom raised 2 kids in her own and worked full time. I cant do my own two boys even with a partner.
