One of the interesting things about the 7 Up/70 Up series (and there are many) is that it began with the children and young adults talking about their lives and the world as they saw it, and ended with them talking about the program itself. It's a unique experience.

Stick it up to 20k. Every taxpayer benefits, and it will stimulate the economy more than a cut in the top rate because poor people will spend the extra rather than hoarding it. That way a lot of it will be clawed back in VAT etc. And again, fuck the bond markets.
