This is interesting. Brandon Sproat's outing at Triple A did not go to plan, but how he pitched was different. Sproat threw just one cutter all game (NB it got launched), and he went from 20% to 35% breaking ball usage with more landing in-zone. Colour me intrigued

just drives home for me - MIL didn't have a higher end P prospect to offer DET unless they used someone from MLB roster, which negates point of "adding" a top P. so outside of a huge overpay, it may have just been lack of what DET wanted and not what MIL wouldn't offer
