There is a ST:TNG episode in which Dr. Crusher has an intern who has just found out she’s a Q. Crusher asks her to do something in a lab, and she uses her Q powers, then is shocked to find Dr. Crusher angry. She needed the observations during the process of the task more than the tidy result.

In the ‘90s, books with LGBTQ+ themes were challenged in my hometown library. The library director held several hearings, listened to everyone, and held firm. The ACLU gave her an award, and the local journalism earned a Pulitzer. We have fallen so far.

Systematic review lists a study as having 42 patients in a 3-way comparison. The study they reference has 6 patients in a single-arm study. Do researchers read the studies they cite? And these days, I have to wonder if they used AI.

This is such a terrific book! I love the queernorm society and the model of families being polyamorous or involving multiple couples. The worldbuilding is so compelling and it interrogates colonization and its aftermath in a tremendously humane way.
