I want to scream every time I hear something like this. I got a whole ass PhD, undiagnosed, unmedicated. It took 10 years. Know what I can do on meds that I couldn’t do then? Meet deadlines. This also really helps with holding down a job!

Absolutely. Adjuncts often have the same total workload as FT faculty (or more) but do it for a fraction of the pay, and with the added cost of commuting to multiple campuses.

Oh - there’s also a device called Nerivio that I’ve used, it basically uses electrical stimulation in the ulnar nerve to activate the brain’s native pain-suppression system. It’s pretty neat.
