That's interesting because the degree ofissue polarisation of a party depends on two things : what proportion of the party holds extreme positive or negative views and how evenly are these extreme views split between ++ and – –. In that sense, the Greens and FF also have a problem, see table.
Table showing degree of polarisation of voters for Irish political parties, where 100% polarisation represents a 50:50 split between two extreme viewpoints.

Pat Ingoldsby – a national treasure that you could walk past on the way to the shops. This is from the 2001 anthology "Do lámh i mo bhrístí".
MANUS MCILHENNY REMEMBERS
"I mind the first time a bus came to the village.
It pulled upside of Benny Lee's and two people got out. We ate them because we thought that was what you did. The driver said they'd come to look at the orchids but it was too late then.
Another bus came the year of the Tostal but it went straight past Benny Lee's and it didn't stop.

Amazing – Eunice Foote, in 1856, comparing the heating effect of sunlight on different atmospheric gases. CO2 produced significantly more heating than 'common air'. She went on to attribute changes in earth's temperature to changes in CO2 levels. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunice_...

Remembering Val Mulkerns, Irish writer, keen observer of the apparently ordinary, whose birthday is today. I met her when I was a 14-year-old brat, and from then until her dying day in 2018 she would inevitably greet me with "Well, what are you writing these days?" 451editions.com/author-val-m...

Wisdom from the late, irreplaceable Pat Ingoldsby.
ME AND YOU
(Pat Ingoldsby)

Hatred
teaches you how to kneel a man down outside his own front door and shoot a hole
in the back of his head.
It doesn't give you the whole lesson first.
You receive it in lots and lots of little daily bits none of which
is horrible on its own.
Some of them are so little you may not even notice.
It's always someone else.
