If I want my real birth certificate, I can file a petition showing "compelling and good cause." But that doesn't help me when I have to go get a pelvic ultrasound to rule out endometrial or uterine cancer on Monday and boy it would sure be nice to know my bio family's medical history.

Wow, the BBC just made a huge error in describing verdict standards in US criminal trials. The standard of "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt" applies only to "Guilty" verdicts and does not apply to verdicts of "not guilty" or "not guilty by reason of insanity"
