Picking up on the Moonbat after a month. Slowly progressing on the canopy framing, almost there, with a bit of touch up neccessary where I goofed. Next up are a few air scoops ahead of painting the upper surfaces in two-tone green camo. #histscalemodels #72scale

A longstanding compromise between the FAA's air traffic & space offices allowed a limited # of aircraft to be exposed to higher risk from space debris while keeping the overall odds of a fatal accident low. The FAA eliminated that limit 4 days before the SpaceX IPO. theaircurrent.com/aviation-saf...

Exciting news from Saumur this week as the tank museum has their Tiger "Bretagne" in working order! "Bretagne" (later renamed "Colmar") was recovered by the French resistance in Normandy and returned to service as part of the Escadron Autonome de Chars Besnier. #WWII #WW2 #Tank #Panzer #France

A last-minute FAA safety review of an FMS software glitch ahead of the impending 737 Max 10 cert revealed that U.S. airlines have all been skipping the latest updates. I wanted to understand why. The answer is exploration of this industry's incredible complexity. (no paywall)

That is not a loss. It is a reduction in book value that would only materialize if Zuckerbrrg would sell his stakes. Forbes knows that, but picturing this as a personal loss to address lower instincts like Schadenfreude promises more clicks.

The Tiger was not designed as an attack helicopter. It was designed to defend against massed tank assaults while operating from behind the line of contact, over friendly territory. The Apache was designed to withstand small arms fire and have a capability to survive hits by single 23mm rounds.

I have read enough of these „we expect“ statements over the years to know that this prefix is used to express risk not unlikely to materialize.
