The Māori word for #autism is takiwatanga, ‘in their own time and space’ I for one think it’s lovely to describe the condition I can relate to this as I find focusing on one thing at a time works better for me.

Mudoch Mysteries. 1900ish, Canadian, very historically accurate, deals with sexism/racism/First Nations/voting rights/etc as well as the crime plot. Autistic coded detectives, female doctors. Awesome.

#latenightwrite I'm not consciously subverting. I just write the characters as they are, like real people--enbies with teal hair and sass, ace hackers, pan con artists, etc. Does writing as an enby cause subconscious subversion? SECRET SUBVERT

#IAmNonbinary with a queernormative romantic thriller on sub and another queers-out thriller in the works!

Red and black mood board with a woman in a sexy red dress, the same woman hiding with a gun, a broken wine glass, a man's folded hands, the silhouette of high heels, the spines of classic books, a chess scene with a pawn taking out the king, and a woman in a lace blindfold with a finger held to her red lips.
The middle has the opening quote, "Shard settled into today's identity like a second skin.”

For 99% of people, the only advice you need on writing your book is "actually write it." Like, there's loads of advice I can give you on it once you've done that. But for the most part "stop fantasizing about it and put words on a damn page" is the correct answer.

Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants. Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this. Do not.

ICE is no longer immigration enforcement. It’s a sprawling secret police with a budget bigger than some nations’ armies. No oversight. Questionable training. Just masks, unmarked vans, and executive authority. If you think this stops at the border, you’re not paying attention.
