I'm looking for a strong front-end focused developer. Contractor for milestone-based project(s). React/TypeScript/Tailwind. Budget is ~$5-6k/month. Preferably in Italy, but open to all EU.

I'm willing to pay a Philosophy student (major) or professor for one hour of chatting a week. I want to cover nihilism and existentialism/absurdism, and I need some guidance. If you know anyone who'd be interested, please connect the two of us! 🙏

I gave Cursor a try for a month. Sure, I shipped fast, but I also felt like I was getting dumber, lazier, and realized I knew way less about my own codebase than I thought. Back to manual coding, at least for now.

I read “Metamorphosis” by Kafka twice: once at 15 for school and again now at 30. How the hell is a 15yo supposed to understand this book??

It's a hard pill to swallow: there's no 10x engineer. We're all just too used to mediocre engineers we call "senior" because of their time spent at work rather than output quality. When we finally meet a real senior engineer, we think they're a 10x eng. They're "just" actual senior engineers.

If LLMs had to come up with a programming language that's optimized for them (machines) rather than us (humans) they’d probably come up with an APL dialect Or LISP obviously

The single biggest fallacy of "vibe code" advocates is the assumption that people who like to write code will suddenly stop doing what they love to make managers happy (the myth of productivity)

there’s a weird thing about capitalism that there are these currents, like ai wave, or whatever, and if you hop on them at the right time, you can gain a lot of money. even if you don’t really believe in the thing. market acts as a distortion field because the temptation for money is very powerful

I don't have real benchmarks (yet). But on an M2 Pro CPU, the ONNX runtime performs 30% better than on CUDA (4080S) for embeddings generation.
