Finished this one up this week with a piece of silver sheen obsidian and some beads from my stash. I thought about making it more complicated, but decided to let the base components shine on their own.

The flexibility is a function of how thin you stretch it! The main chain there is pretty flexible, but the loops are significantly thinner and stiffer.

I'm pleased with this necklace! I taught myself how to make viking knit chains a couple weeks ago and have been experimenting.

Broke out the sterling silver! This wire is finer than the brass or rose gold craft wire, so even though I used the more complex knit, it still looks a bit loose even at 4mm. It also took longer to make the same length, so I don't think I'll be doing anything this fine again for a while.

In Japan, the work for a buffet-style restaurant is "viking." I don't know the official etymology, but I like to think it's because you set forth from your table to go loot and pillage the food offerings, victoriously bringing it back to your party.
