Here's an update for the week: 1) Practice went really well Monday evening until the power went out and suddenly all you could hear was Nick's drum kit. 2) Today is October 1st, which means my new EP drops tomorrow. On my birthday no less, which is also a #BandcampFriday this year.

Congratulations, and thank you for your kindness. TDKB reminds me of our gone-but-still-well-beloved-and-oft-remembered cat Admin (The Administrator of Funk, shown below in the Fiction section of our living room). Another rescue.

An orange and white cat sits on the back of a couch, surrounded by floor to ceiling bookcases full of a small number of the several thousands of books in our house. He did not trust people who do not read. He took to us instantly. He was with us for nearly twenty years. We miss him, but are quite sure he is happily bossing all the entities around in whatever dimension he now inhabits.
