Idle valley @nottswildlife.bsky.social just before the rain started. Common sandpiper 2, green sandpiper, curlew, lots of egyptian geese one pair with 6 young, keeping Lesser black backed gulls at bay. Swallows, house martin, Great crested & little grebes, great spotted woodpecker & sparrowhawk. 🪶

Hard going around the Outstrays & Sammys yesterday. Family of whitethroat, reed bunting, whimbrel, little egrets, marsh harrier & flocks of dunlin & common ringed plovers flying right overhead back to the estuary on the falling tide. Saving the best to last this lovely whinchat. #spurnbirds

A very icey @ldvnnr.bsky.social on Tuesday. Didn't catch up with the white tailed eagle this visit. Nice to see great egret & little at East Cottingwith. Most other birds seen were flying along the river from Aughton, marsh harrier buzzard & wildfowl incl pintails wigeon & teal. @mjthom.bsky.social
